Ever wish you could indulge in delicious festive desserts without feeling crummy afterwards? What if I told you I perfected a healthy brownie recipe that is not only insanely tasty, but also packed with gut healthy ingredients that will leave you feeling satisfied and energized…

These Hazelnut Date Brownies are RIDICULOUS— I just can’t get enough of them. Plus, this is a no-bake recipe, so they’re really easy to whip up quickly!

This is truly the perfect dessert to bring to any festivity. The brownies are rich and decadent and the hazelnut topping adds a fun touch.

The ingredients are perfectly balanced with the right amount of protein, fat, and carbs (PFC’s) and of course, we’ve added some extra antioxidants in there as well.

Healthy Brownie Recipe

The shredded coconut, coconut oil, hazelnuts, and seeds like chia and hemp are rich in healthy fats like MCTs and omega-3 fatty acids. These fats reduce inflammation and balance your blood sugar.

The nuts and seeds are also rich in protein, which keeps you satiated and helps repair cells along your gut lining.

The pitted dates and goji berries are antioxidant rich carbohydrates that are anti-inflammatory and keep you energized.

And for that extra chocolatey flavor, we have the cacao powder and cacao nibs, which are packed with good-for-you nutrients and beneficial polyphenols that support healthy gut bacteria.

Healthy No-Bake Hazelnut Brownies

  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

I perfected a healthy brownie recipe that is not only insanely tasty, but also packed with gut healthy ingredients that will leave you feeling satisfied and energized.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups Pitted Dates
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Shredded Coconut
  • 1/4 cup Hemp Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1/3 cup Coconut Oil (divided)
  • 2/3 cup Cacao Powder (divided)
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup (divided)
  • 3 tbsps Hazelnuts (roasted, crushed)
  • 2 tbsps Cacao Nibs
  • 2 tbsps Goji Berries

Instructions

  1. Add the dates, coconut, hemp seeds, and chia seeds to the bowl of a food processor. Add 1/3 of the coconut oil, 3/4 of the cacao powder, and 1/2 of the maple syrup. Process until a sticky dough is formed, about five minutes.
  2. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Scoop the brownie dough into the pan and flatten with your hands or a spatula, until evenly spread. Transfer to the freezer to set for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the remaining coconut oil, cacao powder, and maple syrup. Heat on the stove over low until the coconut oil has melted. Whisk to combine and remove from the heat. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate over top of the cold brownies. Sprinkle on the crushed hazelnuts, cacao nibs, and goji berries. Transfer to the fridge to set for 10 minutes. Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Serving Size: A 5 x 9-inch loaf pan was used to make eight servings. One serving is equal to one brownie.
  • Leftovers: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to one week. Freeze for up to six months.

Trust me when I say these brownies are a delicious chocolatey dessert that the whole family will enjoy! I encourage you to make these healthy brownies for yourself and your loved ones and enjoy together!

"When it comes to balancing our body, healing the gut, reversing autoimmunity, and achieving optimal health—we are a lot like a car that won’t run right. In order to fix the problem once and for all instead of relying on jumper cables, we must get underneath the hood, run the diagnostics, and replace the battery so that it runs good as new."
