There I was, about 7 months pregnant on a hot summer day a few years ago and all I could think about was getting my hands on a Wendy’s frosty.
If you’ve ever experienced a pregnancy craving, you know what I’m talking about. There’s just no way you can stop thinking about it until you have it. I haven’t had one of those since I was probably 8 years old. But for whatever reason, I just HAD to have one.
We were in the car driving and passed right by a Wendy’s as I was talking about it. My husband being the trooper he is, nearly got in a car accident swerving to get into the Wendy’s lot.
In which I asked him— “What in the world are you doing?!”
“I’m getting you a Wendy’s frosty just like you asked!”
That escalated quickly to a good hormonal outburst because he should have KNOWN I cannot have that anymore… how dare he tempt me, right?! I would be going against everything I teach if I gave into that craving! I still thank him for putting up with me during those days.
Anyways, I didn’t give into the Wendy’s frosty BUT you better believe I went home and figured out how to make a copycat one.
As you likely know by now, one of my favorite things to do is come up with “healthified” alternatives to the delicious foods I love. This time was no different….
Ever since that day this recipe has been something I look forward to often.
And so, I’m really excited to share with you my healthy version of a Wendy’s frosty!
I’ve made this Tahini Date Smoothiefor years now and it truly does taste like a Wendy’s frosty! It hits the spot everytime. It’s so good even my whole family is on board with it 😉.
Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Chocolate Flavor: Add chocolate flavored protein powder or cacao powder
