It brings me so much joy to share the things that make it simple and easy to lead a healthy life. I hope you find these resources as helpful as I do!
This month I’m sharing four amazing resources and products to help fill your home with Autumn scents (without the toxins), reverse autoimmunity with diet, support detoxification and relaxation, and keep your living spaces clean and toxin free.
Here’s what I’m loving lately…
There’s nothing better than warm autumnal scents on a crisp Fall day一 apple cinnamon, pumpkin spice, warm clove and ginger… In order to fill your home with these scents, most people light candles (Bath & Body Works is a very tempting place). Unfortunately from a toxin standpoint, candles aren’t great for your health. Many candles are made of parrafin, which releases soot when burned and can be carcinogenic.
But have no fear一 there is a wonderful alternative! I absolutely love diffusing Young Living essential oil blends to make my home smell amazing for Fall. Aromatherapy with fall essential oils actually benefits your health! Here is my all-time favorite fall essential oil diffuser recipe blend! It’s called Fall in Love 🧡
And good news! You can now sign up without a starter-kit and just buy a single oil. You can purchase at retail, or you can save BIG by signing up for a wholesale account. It’s free to join and unlock wholesale prices. Plus, there’s no minimum order. It’s a win-win!
You’ll need a member number to join, and I would love to have you on my oil team! You can sign up using the number 3936607!
I’m willing to bet inflammatory foods are a top trigger for your autoimmune symptoms. Food has changed over the years because of the convenience factor that our society prioritizes一 too many preservatives, food chemicals, and GMOs!
There are also specific foods that I see consistently triggering an immune response in my clients and in myself, as I once struggled with autoimmunity and GI distress. If you’re working on healing your gut and reversing autoimmunity, you’ll want to reduce these trigger foods from your diet and bulk up on healing and nutritious foods like high quality meats and seafoods, seasonal fruits and vegetables, herbs, and stable fats and oils.
Read more about the most common autoimmune triggers and the science behind how they affect your gut and immune system at this blog here! Once you learn which foods work for your body and those working against it, it becomes much easier to eat to heal!
I’ve been really loving incorporating dry brushing as part of my weekly routine. The sensory experience and exfoliation makes me feel so refreshed and renewed! I dry brush by swiping over the skin a few times per area starting at my feet and working my way up. Make sure you’re careful on sensitive areas as you don’t want to irritate the skin! I do this a few times a week before I shower and it’s just wonderful.
Dry brushing is not only a super calming practice, but also has some pretty significant health benefits. It can actually promote circulation and lymphatic drainage! The lymphatic system helps your body fight off infections and is a super important part of your immune system. When you experience toxic build up, the lymph nodes become backed up and clogged. This is why they swell when you’re sick. Dry brushing promotes drainage of these lymph nodes, which allows for more efficient natural detox!
This is the PERFECT nut-free gut and autoimmune friendly flour. It’s so important to limit grains and nuts in the beginning stages of healing your gut and autoimmune conditions. Many gluten-free flour substitutes call for almond flour, and while it’s no big deal on occasion, too much isn’t great for the gut. Almond flour in high quantities, especially when baked or used at high temperatures, can disrupt gut bacteria and increase inflammation through PUFAs (polyunsaturated fatty acids).
Bob’s Red Mill Coconut Flour is an amazing alternative that actually nourishes the gut and includes healthy fats such as medium-chain triglycerides and lauric acid. I love it because it’s delicious, nutritious and SO versatile in recipes. I use it to make yummy gluten-free baked goods, breading for proteins, and more!

"When it comes to balancing our body, healing the gut, reversing autoimmunity, and achieving optimal health—we are a lot like a car that won’t run right. In order to fix the problem once and for all instead of relying on jumper cables, we must get underneath the hood, run the diagnostics, and replace the battery so that it runs good as new."
-Nikki Yelton, RD
If you are ready to stop wasting precious time, get off the never-ending hamster wheel, and finally surrender trying to figure things out on your own—this is your moment.
