I can’t wait for you to check out these tips to get better sleep, beat the winter blues, and keep your gut in good health. I’m sharing recipe + brands you’ll love!

I’m always on the hunt for ways to make living a healthy lifestyle as easy as possible. Wellness is worth it!

This month I’m sharing four amazing products and resources to help you get better sleep, beat the winter blues, and keep your gut in good health. As always, these are things that I personally use, believe in, and love.

Here’s what I’m loving lately…

If you notice you start to feel a bit down in the dumps during the winter months, know you’re not alone. Right around this time, I tend to feel it too. The winter blues are no joke! If you’re affected by seasonal depression this year, there is hope for restoring your energy and positive mood. There are many natural ways to rebalance so that before you know it, you’ll be back to feeling like yourself again.

To combat seasonal depression, I do my best to keep my circadian rhythm as balanced as possible. It’s crucial for my mental health to follow a routine sleep schedule. I suggest going to bed around the same time every night and waking up at the same time every morning. Ideally, our bodies respond best when we go to bed at 10pm and wake at 6am. This helps regulate your circadian rhythm, which will in turn regulate your serotonin and melatonin levels.

tart cherry juice for better sleep

Drinking tart cherry juice before bed can help you fall asleep and stay asleep! Cherries are a rich source of tryptophan, a precursor to melatonin. I recommend consuming around 7-8pm because you start melatonin production around 9pm. Also, I suggest opting for organic with no added sugars!

I recorded a quick video to show you how you can use tart cherry juice to help you sleep. It’s a simple hack to regulate your circadian rhythm!

Is it just me, or has probiotic shopping become quite an overwhelming endeavor?! There’s a TON of phony supplements out there claiming benefits that haven’t been proven. It’s so frustrating! A fantastic brand that takes accountability seriously is Seed. Seed’s DS-01TM Daily Synbiotic is a probiotic + prebiotic blend that actually works!

I’ve been using Seed for years and the benefits are unparalleled. They use several probiotic blends that are proven to support gut health, skin health, heart health, and even help you better absorb nutrients. It’s perfect for individuals who aren’t sure what their gut bacteria look like through testing. Trust me, a good probiotic that can survive stomach acid can make a world of difference.

You can check out all the science behind the “seed” right on their website AND get 15% off your first month’s supply of Seed’s Daily Synbiotic by using code NIKKIYELTONRD at checkout! Your gut will thank you!

If there’s one product my clients with digestive distress benefit from the most, it’s GI Replenish. In fact, when I tell my clients that they can go off of it, many keep it in their routine long term because they’ve fallen in love with the benefits!

GI Replenish is packed with macro and micro nutrients specialized for those with a wacky gut. It nourishes good gut bacteria, is an amazing source of energy for intestinal cells, and helps with absorption.

It’s a super beneficial supplement that complements healthy eating habits and supports your journey to a healthy gut.

I love sharing my favorite resources to help you live a thriving & gut-healthy life. Rooting for you!

"When it comes to balancing our body, healing the gut, reversing autoimmunity, and achieving optimal health—we are a lot like a car that won’t run right. In order to fix the problem once and for all instead of relying on jumper cables, we must get underneath the hood, run the diagnostics, and replace the battery so that it runs good as new."

-Nikki Yelton, RD
